Went and got my novavax & flu shots today, hopefully they don't knock me out too bad 🤞 Also Tilly is slowly getting more and more cuddly with me >:3 she's started climbing on top of me during her breakfast wake-up calls and sat in bed with me soliciting scritches for a good 15 minutes today too.

I started playing Dredge a few days ago and I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would - not that I thought it was going to be like. boring or whatever, I just don't usually play fishing games so I wasn't sure what to expect. I might be playing it a little too cautiously though lol I think I totally missed my chance to investigate that big red light from the first ~week of game time. Well that's just how it goes sometimes... but I wish the fishmonger would stop rubbing it in whenever I go to sell my catch lol

Also I'm obsessed with this biscochito flavored tea I bought recently. I'd never heard of the cookies before this but the tea is delicious (it's a hojicha base with cinnamon and anise (usually I dislike anise but idk there's just something about it in this tea...)) so now I really want to try the cookies themselves (or even try making my own).

My brother's wedding is at the end of the month and I still haven't been able to find any good shoes to buy for it -____- I mean it's going to be relatively casual for a wedding so things could be worse but trying to find something in my size that goes with the rest of my outfit (dressy coveralls with modified blazer) (so like ideally I get a dressy "work" boot or something) that doesnt cost like 400 dollars is becoming a trial from god. Worst comes to worst I'm probably just going to get a basic pair of Docs since my mom already said that would be ok lol

Oh I beat Bomb Rush Cyberfunk the other day! The story ended up being a little lighter-weight than I thought it would but tbh that works for it I think. The platforming in it really is the star of the game - soooo fun and fluid.

Work is really grating on me lately :/ we don't have half the staff we should (I know everywhere is understaffed these days but this feels really egregious) so naturally instead of bothering to hire people the owner is subjecting us all to a totally unnecessary and overhyped construction project. I'm trying to keep the wise words of our friend Da Share Zone in my head but this situation is a little too complicated for me to Just Walk Out on unfortunately.

Guess who woke me up no less than 3 times last night!


Okay well tbh I actually don't feel that tired about it (yet), but it was still pretty funny. And it enabled me to hear that really cool thunderstorm in the middle of the night too.

The important thing is that she came up onto the bed with me several times during that period, and then when I finally woke up at my normal time she was curled up against my leg 🥺 I know it hasn't even been two days since I brought her home so I need to be more patient but I was a little worried she wouldn't want to come on the bed bc I helped her up there at one point during the day and she immediately jumped back down lol. I was also wondering how long it might take her to feel comfortable jumping up places from a tripod stance, so it's good to know she's getting back in the game already! I even had to discourage her from jumping onto my bookshelves lol

I'm still going to get her some stairs for my bed but this is a relief also because it means I don't have to worry too much about the configuration of whichever cat tree I decide to get for her eventually.

And then before I even went to bed last night she had an exciting time poking around the rest of the apartment! My brave girl...
